Reviews
“Your DVD is bloody brilliant. The accompanying booklet I have had in my toilet and is the best bogside read I have known in a while. As for the films, well, I’m not happy as my girlfriend says you are a genius and I should learn a thing or two from you.”
– Bruce
“Amazing, but brutal. Watching some of these made me feel like something inside of me died. Like I had to sell everything I own. Like I froze up inside.”
– Jake
“An absolute classic. Great cinematography; fine acting; atmospheric lighting; wonderful umbrella holding skills; marvellous soundtracks and effects; unique layout and design of the titles, postcards and posters for the DVD.”
– Daniel
“After our civilisation has long since crumbled, many years from this current high point, it is more than possible that these splendid discs will be uncovered from sites around the world by beings who, using unrecognisable DVD technology, proclaim the artistic voice behind them as eternally significant.”
– Chris
“A great little collection of films with wonderful packaging to boot.”
– Robert
Recent work
In August 2025 footage I shot in New Orleans in 1996 was used in the Netflix documentary series Katrina: Come Hell and High Water. The three-part series looked at Hurricane Katrina on its 20th anniversary. The three parts looked at New Orleans before, during and after the disaster. My footage featured in the first episode, and one of my shots can be seen in the official trailer.
Previously I created and edited music videos for folk singer Naomi Bedford including a version of Bob Dylan’s Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts, an eight and a half minute song with ten singers and another ten musicians, all of whom had to be synced to the music. I then trawled through dozens of old westerns and film noirs to find scenes to match Dylan’s labyrinth lyrical narrative.
As well as writing and directing fiction and documentary films and videos I have also filmed interviews, events and conferences, and edited showreels. See my YouTube Channel for a diverse mix of films and videos.
