Weapons of Mass Peace

cards war and peace.jpg

This is a simple but fun mash up between two card games: Peace and Cards Against Humanity. Peace is a ‘hopeful twist on the classic game of War’, the idea being to outdo your opponent in acts of kindness. It’s a nice-looking game and a great idea but unfortunately a bit simplistic. We decided to spice things up by mixing Peace cards with Cards Against Humanity. Handily, they are the same size. Cards Against Humanity is ‘a party game for horrible people… as despicable and awkward as you and your friends.’ Surprisingly the mix works quite well.

Peace includes cards such as ‘I threw you a parade’ (12 points) and ‘I walked your dog’ (3 points). We used some of the less offensive cards from Crds Against Humanity including ‘I gave you Enormous Scandinavian Women’ (10 points) and ‘I lent you Ryan Gosling riding on a white horse’ (8 points).

We also wrote some of our own cards, including ‘I took you on holiday’ (11 points), ‘I found you a rat’ (5 points) and ‘I lifted Covid restrictions for you’ (13 points).
