Top ten zombie films

The amazing thing about zombie films is there’s really no such thing as a truly bad one, and the amazing thing about the best zombie films is they redefine the entire genre.

1. Dawn of the Dead (Romero, 1978)

2. 28 Days Later (Boyle, 2002)

3. Train to Buscan (Sang-ho, 2016)

4. Night of the Living Dead (Romero, 1968)

5. Shaun of the Dead (Wright, 2004)

6. REC (Balagueró and Paco Plaza, 2007)

7. One Cut of the Dead (Ueda, 2017)

8. Pontypool (McDonald, 2008)

9. I Walked With a Zombie (Tourneur, 1943)

10. Plague of the Zombies (Gilling, 1966)
I’m sentimental about this one because it’s set (but not filmed – that all took place in a studio) in Cornwall.
